Dr. Ivan Edwards is a medical doctor and the CEO/owner of Jovana Rehabilitation Medicine & Pain.
He is a USAF Reserve Flight Surgeon at the rank of Lt. Colonel.
He is an ordained minister and an award-winning writer and poet.

As a renowned specialist, Dr. Edwards treats a wide variety of conditions affecting the brain, spinal cord, bones, joints, muscles, nerves, ligaments, and tendons. His expertise lies in medical rehabilitation, musculoskeletal medicine, and comprehensive pain management.
Most of his patients have trauma/sports-related injuries, joint, muscle and nerve pain, TBI, and in need of comprehensive pain management.
Dr. Edwards has a special interest in electro-diagnostics and holistic care. He believes that the mind has a connection to health.

Military service
Dr. Edwards is a Lt Colonel in the USAF Reserves. He attended Officer Training School at Maxwell AFB and had additional training at the US Air Force School of Aerospace Medicine to become a Flight Surgeon.
Humanitarian initiatives
Dr. Edwards co-started a child sponsorship program for disadvantaged children and orphans in Uganda in the early 1990s.
In 2013 - 2017, he ran rehabilitation programs for people with neuro-degenerative disorders (as director of two acute rehabilitation units), in San Antonio, Texas.
From 2017 to now, he has integrated care for veterans in various hospital settings in Texas.
He conducts community wide symposiums on the topic of resilience.
Ministry
Dr. Edwards, ordained into ministry in his twenties, pastored churches in Uganda and New Hampshire through Healing Springs and NEP Ministries before pausing his pastoral work in 1990 to pursue a career in medicine.
Writer/poet
Dr. Edwards has published articles and commentaries across various platforms, including medical, literary, and journalistic outlets. His poetry is featured on sites such as Poets Choice and PoetrySoup. In September 2025, his anthology Resonance of the Soul – Flowers and Harmonics received the Literary Titan Gold Book Award, honoring its emotional depth and artistic merit.
